JOIN THE SEARCH FOR “OKEY KA, PINOY KA!” BLOGS and WEBSITES
“Okey Ka, Pinoy Ka!”, a Recognition Award now goes online with a search to commend bloggers and websites. For details of the search, mechanics, list of entries so far and prizes at stake.
The search mechanics for the online version will be slightly different from the offline search. This award aims to commend common Filipinos doing a good deed and making a difference, encourage other people to emulate them, inform the general public that it is worth it to be a Filipino, raise the Pinoy spirit and love for country and fellowmen, and to generate general public awareness.
All websites be it owned by Filipino or non-Filipino citizen can participate in the search as long as their content promotes the ideologies above. There will be a separate category for blog and websites so that it can be distinguished from each other.
CATEGORY:
- BLOG - A blog is a website where entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed in reverse chronological order.
- WEBSITE - A site that is generally composed of several web pages and is not chronologically arranges like that of a blog.
ELIGIBILITY: For those who wanted to join but who is not eligible based on our criteria below please send an e-mail to phil_lenin at yahoo dot com and indicate your eligibility:
The Objectives is to:
- Promote Filipino values
- Promote and exhibit Filipino culture
- Provide information exchange (news, commentaries, opinions)
- Promote various sectors (your, elderly, OFY, etc.)
- Provides relevant content to Filipinos (motivations, entrepreneurship, tips, etc.)
- Empowers Filipino spirit
SEARCH MECHANICS:
- Site/Blog must submit their entry through an e-mail to phil_lenin at yahoo dot com with the following details: NAME OF WEBSITE, DESCRIPTION, URL, NAME OF OWNER, CONTACT DETAILS OF OWNER.
- The site must post a link to this contest and put an image link on his/her website using the “Okey Ka, Pinoy Ka!” Webpin which is shown above. The pin can be edited as long as the main symbol is there and the main contest name.
- An online poll will be posted after one month from the date of the announcement of this search and will run for one month. This poll will select the top three sites for the search and will be entitled to prizes and will compose 50% of the results.
- The other 50% will be from 10 judges which we will select to judge the site based on the following criteria:
CONTENT - 15%
STYLE - 10%
CULTURAL RELEVANCE - 15%
REACH and POPULARITY - 10%
5. Sites with adult content, alcohol or cigarettes or gambling are prohibited from joining the search.
