SUGBU ASDANG: Convergence of Cebu and Manila Artists

Prominent visual artists from Cebu and Manila will hold simultaneous exhibits here in Cebu to promote the city and province as an artistic center for all Filipino and international artists in the future. Titled Sugbu Asdang: Art in Public Places, the event aims to put together works by Manila and Cebu- based artists in three of Cebu’s leading galleries namely, the Art Center of SM City Cebu, the 856-G “Gabriela” Gallery in A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City, and the Bluewater Gallery of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort in Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan, Cebu, PHILIPPINES.

This group exhibition will be a pivotal show of an exchange of public exhibitions between Cebu’s three major cities. Cebu has also been seen as the future center for the arts outside Manila and thus artists from all over the country and abroad will be invited to have regular exhibitions.
