Model Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Family Search is now Accepting Nomination

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is now accepting nominations to the 2008 Search for Model OFW Family of the Year Award (MOFYA) to give honor and recognition to the sacrifices and achievements of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and their families.

This award is a medium for highlighting the success of OFW’s and their families in managing the impact of overseas employment in family life and to exemplifying their best practices towards optimizing the gains of migration.

Any organization/association/group can nominate families from Region 7 with either land-based or sea-based OFW as head of the family with a minimum of four years working abroad. There will be one regional winner from the sea-based sector who will compete in the national finals.

Nomination forms, mechanics, and detailed criteria can be obtained at the nearest OWWA office.
