PeopleString is the newest social networking platform which allows you earn by reading your mails, aligning your communication plugins from other networks or by simply referring some friends in using it. The more transactions you have online, the better chance of earning more.

It’s unbelievable right? Read PeopleString’s front page and you’ll get to understand how they earn:

“PeopleString ‘Where You Own the Web’. It is the new wave in relationship and social communities; it has the Creativity, Culture, Expressive Forums and places to meet new people and network; but now it combines all that with giving you a share in the revenues that are created by the users of the website.

The ‘other’ social sites keep all of the money for themselves and never give any to their users. They are making millions off of your actions and keeping it all. PeopleString shares the revenues that are generated by its members. This is unique for online social communities. Who other than PeopleString gives its members back 70% of the revenues?”

The catch is you need to join earlier to be on top of the heap. When you’re first, you get to earn by referring a friend and by your referrals transaction. Isn’t it a deal you may want to consider?

You may opt to read the full details of this offer by clicking this specially designed link:
It is but worth reminiscing the history that make the Filipino nation the first republic in Asia. My gratitude to History.com for sharing this view:

During the Spanish-American War, Filipino rebels led by Emilio Aguinaldo proclaim the independence of the Philippines after 300 years of Spanish rule. By mid-August, Filipino rebels and U.S. troops had ousted the Spanish, but Aguinaldo’s hopes for independence were dashed when the United States formally annexed the Philippines as part of its peace treaty with Spain.

The Philippines, a large island archipelago situated off Southeast Asia, was colonized by the Spanish in the latter part of the 16th century. Opposition to Spanish rule began among Filipino priests, who resented Spanish domination of the Roman Catholic churches in the islands. In the late 19th century, Filipino intellectuals and the middle class began calling for independence. In 1892, the Katipunan, a secret revolutionary society, was formed in Manila, the Philippine capital on the island of Luzon. Membership grew dramatically, and in August 1896 the Spanish uncovered the Katipunan’s plans for rebellion, forcing premature action from the rebels. Revolts broke out across Luzon, and in March 1897, 28-year-old Emilio Aguinaldo became leader of the rebellion.

By late 1897, the revolutionaries had been driven into the hills southeast of Manila, and Aguinaldo negotiated an agreement with the Spanish. In exchange for financial compensation and a promise of reform in the Philippines, Aguinaldo and his generals would accept exile in Hong Kong. The rebel leaders departed, and the Philippine Revolution temporarily was at an end.

In April 1898, the Spanish-American War broke out over Spain’s brutal suppression of a rebellion in Cuba. The first in a series of decisive U.S. victories occurred on May 1, 1898, when the U.S. Asiatic Squadron under Commodore George Dewey annihilated the Spanish Pacific fleet at the Battle of Manila Bay in the Philippines. From his exile, Aguinaldo made arrangements with U.S. authorities to return to the Philippines and assist the United States in the war against Spain. He landed on May 19, rallied his revolutionaries, and began liberating towns south of Manila. On June 12, he proclaimed Philippine independence and established a provincial government, of which he subsequently became head.

His rebels, meanwhile, had encircled the Spanish in Manila and, with the support of Dewey’s squadron in Manila Bay, would surely have conquered the Spanish. Dewey, however, was waiting for U.S. ground troops, which began landing in July and took over the Filipino positions surrounding Manila. On August 8, the Spanish commander informed the United States that he would surrender the city under two conditions: The United States was to make the advance into the capital look like a battle, and under no conditions were the Filipino rebels to be allowed into the city. On August 13, the mock Battle of Manila was staged, and the Americans kept their promise to keep the Filipinos out after the city passed into their hands.

While the Americans occupied Manila and planned peace negotiations with Spain, Aguinaldo convened a revolutionary assembly, the Malolos, in September. They drew up a democratic constitution, the first ever in Asia, and a government was formed with Aguinaldo as President in January 1899. On February 4, what became known as the Philippine Insurrection began when Filipino rebels and U.S. troops skirmished inside American lines in Manila. Two days later, the U.S. Senate voted by one vote to ratify the Treaty of Paris with Spain. The Philippines were now a U.S. territory, acquired in exchange for $20 million in compensation to the Spanish.

In response, Aguinaldo formally launched a new revolt–this time against the United States. The rebels, consistently defeated in the open field, turned to guerrilla warfare, and the U.S. Congress authorized the deployment of 60,000 troops to subdue them. By the end of 1899, there were 65,000 U.S. troops in the Philippines, but the war dragged on. Many anti-imperialists in the United States, such as Democratic presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan, opposed U.S. annexation of the Philippines, but in November 1900 Republican incumbent William McKinley was reelected, and the war continued.

On March 23, 1901, in a daring operation, U.S. General Frederick Funston and a group of officers, pretending to be prisoners, surprised Aguinaldo in his stronghold in the Luzon village of Palanan and captured the rebel leader. Aguinaldo took an oath of allegiance to the United States and called for an end to the rebellion, but many of his followers fought on. During the next year, U.S. forces gradually pacified the Philippines. In an infamous episode, U.S. forces on the island of Samar retaliated against the massacre of a U.S. garrison by killing all men on the island above the age of 10. Many women and young children were also butchered. General Jacob Smith, who directed the atrocities, was court-martialed and forced to retire for turning Samar, in his words, into a “howling wilderness.”

In 1902, an American civil government took over administration of the Philippines, and the three-year Philippine insurrection was declared to be at an end. Scattered resistance, however, persisted for several years.

More than 4,000 Americans perished suppressing the Philippines–more than 10 times the number killed in the Spanish-American War. More than 20,000 Filipino insurgents were killed, and an unknown number of civilians perished.

In 1935, the Commonwealth of the Philippines was established with U.S. approval, and Manuel Quezon was elected the country’s first president. On July 4, 1946, full independence was granted to the Republic of the Philippines by the United States.

Historians recall that the first President of the Philippine Republic, General Emilio Aguinaldo, raised the Hong Kong-made Philippine flag at the Aguinaldo Residence in Kawit, Cavite on June 12, 1898 as the national anthem was played for the first time.

It will also be recalled that Apolinario Mabini, Aguinaldo’s closest adviser, was opposed to Aguinaldo’s decision towards a dictatorial rule. He instead urged for the reformation of a government that could prove its stability and competency as prerequisite, according to historical accounts.

Aguinaldo refused to do so, but Mabini was able to convince him to turn his autocratic administration into a revolutionary one. Aguinaldo declared a revolutionary government on July 23, 1898.

The Revolution did not end with the June 12 Independence declaration. The Filipinos were not able to liberate Spanish-controlled Philippines until December, and Manila did not fall into Americans’ hands until August of the following year. The United States would not grant complete autonomy for the Philippines until 1946.

While the Philippines first celebrated its Independence Day on June 12, 1898, its independence was only recognized on July 4, 1946 by the United States.

”Henceforth, Independence Day was observed on July 4, but in the name of nationalism, and upon the advice of historians, Republic Act No. 4166 was signed into law by Mrs. Arroyo’s father, President Diosdado Macapagal in 1964, proclaiming June 12, which up to that time had been observed as Flag Day, as Independence Day,” historians said.

On Friday, June 12, President Arroyo’s flag-raising ceremonies in Koronadal City will be duplicated in many parts of the country.

”Friday’s Freedom Day celebration highlights three major attributes called “KKK” –- Kagitingan (heroism), Kagalingan (experience in skills), and Kasipagan (industriousness),” said Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita during Wednesday’s press briefing at Malacanang’s New Executive Building (NEB).

”Heroism and determination showcases our modern day heroes, the Filipino workers, which overcome present day challenges. Excellence in skills and talent sets the Filipino above the rest in the global arena. Industriousness is the natural attribute of the Filipino that is shown in the way they value work and entrepreneurial or livelihood activities,” Ermita said.

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Joselito Atienza will lead this year’s national Flag Day program at the Imus Heritage Park, Cavite as chairman of the Flag Advocacy Committee.

”President Arroyo will lead the nationwide observance of the 111th Philippine Independence Day at the Rizal Shrine in Marbel, South Cotabato. The arrangements for the 18 major sites of the celebration are already in their final stage,” Ermita said.

Aside from the traditional flag-raising rites, the Freedom Day events include the formal launch of a Mega Jobs and Livelihood Fair with the switching on by the President of the electronic billboard showing the jobs available here and abroad.

The jobs and livelihood fair will be simultaneously replicated in various provincial and regional centers nationwide.

The Chief Executive earlier said this year’s Independence Day observance will be stripped of its usual pomp and pageantry and focus government and public attention on employment and jobs generation.

This year’s June 12 Freedom Day celebration will also provide the background for the Arroyo administration’s formal launch of its nationwide Comprehensive Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (CLEEP).

CLEEP is designed to protect and assist the country’s most vulnerable sectors — the poor, overseas Filipino workers and expatriates retrenched from their foreign jobs, workers in the export industry and out-of-school youths — from the consequences and threats of reduced or lost income resulting from the global economic crisis.

The program seeks to create some 220,000 jobs and provide emergency employment for displaced and jobless workers, as well as livelihood projects for those with entrepreneurial acumen.

CLEEP aims to achieve two crucial objectives: 1) to build up the capabilities of Filipino workers and help them develop skills that will enable them to compete in tougher job markets; and, 2) to create as many jobs as possible in the least possible amount of time for the poor through investments in public works and enterprise development.

President Arroyo has assigned members of her Cabinet as development stewards in specific regions to oversee and ensure the effective implementation of identified viable CLEEP programs in their respective assigned areas.

Funding for the CLEEP has been increased to P10 billion this year. CLEEP projects are administered by various government agencies but are monitored and supervised by the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) as the program’s lead agency.

Jobs generation is the main thrust of CLEEP with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as the lead agency in the pursuit of this endeavor, even as other line agencies have their own jobs generation targets.

Jobs created under the CLEEP are envisioned to help improve the country’s infrastructure, push the growth of rural enterprises, improve public health care and food security, and stimulate private investments.

The government had already started the initial phases of implementation of a number of CLEEP projects in various parts of the country.

The initial phase of the program involves the setting up of public facilities that will benefit some 1.5 million Filipinos, and improve services for 7,352 families, 353 business establishments, 222 cooperatives, 1,287 barangays and nine agrarian-reform communities.

Many of the jobs generated under CLEEP’s initial phase were designed to hasten the pace of the country’s agricultural development. They are jobs in irrigation systems development, farm-to-market road projects, environmental protection, waste management and manufacturing services nationwide.

DOLE said some 50,000 plantilla and emergency employment positions in several government agencies are up for grabs starting Friday.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources reported it has 6,000 vacancies while the Department of Education needs 8,000 workers.

The Departments of National Defense (DND), Health (DOH), Trade and Industry (DTI) and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will also make available employment slots during the jobs fair.

DOLE said some 30,000 emergency jobs nationwide will be provided to displaced and other jobless workers under the CLEEP, while the private sector will open up some 70,000 jobs on June 13, the second day of the three-day event.

Jobs overseas will cap the big event where 50,000 sea-based and land-based jobs, mostly in services and sales industry and skilled sectors will be declared open.

Half of the overseas job orders are from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Hong Kong, Russia and Bahrain. (PNA)

In 1986, twenty three years ago, a new republic was born from the womb of Edsa, fathered by the spirit of People Power. A new generation of Filipinos sprang that she hoped would lead the nation out of the morass of corruption and poverty bred during the dictatorial reign of Ferdinand Marcos. Finally, the people were free once again.

Edsa became the symbol of a nation that aspired to be great. A shrine was built for her to remind the people that freedom lost could take a lifetime to regain. Year after year, the people would gather in front of her shrine to renew their pledge to protect her and her ideals. They promised to fight for the freedom that they regained. They vowed that never again would a dictator emerge.

For the 12 years following the People Power revolution, corruption slowed down under the administrations of Presidents Cory Aquino and Fidel V. Ramos. The country began to recover from the rubbles of the Marcos dictatorship.

In 1998, Joseph Estrada came to power in a landslide election and corruption made a comeback. The grafters, fixers, and influence peddlers were singing “Happy days are here again!”

In 2001, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo came to power by way of a sham People Power revolution which deposed Estrada. Edsa unwillingly relented hoping that Gloria would turn the country around. But within a few days after she took over the presidency, a major corruption scandal occurred involving Gloria’s Secretary of Justice. Evidently, corruption was seeded into her administration the day she took over the presidency. Edsa was betrayed. They used her to gain power for themselves.

Year after year, corruption scandals were exposed involving the First Family and high government officials. Corruption became the rule rather than the exception. Indeed, corruption is so good that those in administration want to stay longer in their positions of power. As Lord Acton once said, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

With one year left in her term of office, many people are convinced that Gloria would do whatever it takes to remain in power beyond 2010. Two years ago she almost succeeded in getting a Charter change approved through a people’s initiative. However, the Supreme Court rejected the legality of the people’s initiative.

Last May 28, Gloria merged the Lakas-CMD and Kampi parties into one under her leadership. Right after the ceremonies merging the two largest political parties, the word was that Gloria talked to the congressmen behind closed doors. According to leaks from insiders, her marching orders to them were to pass House Resolution 1109 as soon as possible. HR 1109 would convene the House as a Constituent Assembly (Con-Ass) for the purpose of amending the 1987 constitution… without the Senate. According to news reports, Gloria supposedly promised each congressman P20 million for his or her “yes” vote on HR 1109.

On June 2, the House of Representatives passed — nay, railroaded — HR 1109 by voice vote. The debate was cut short denying the few oppositionists an opportunity to speak out against HR 1109. But what could the handful of oppositionists have done? Tyranny of the majority prevailed. Once again, Edsa was betrayed.

In my opinion, by passing a resolution to amend the 1987 constitution without the participation of the Senate is a blatant disregard for the rule of law. Any way you look at it, the Senate is an integral part of Congress. No law can pass Congress without the approval of both the Senate and the House of Representatives, voting separately. It has always been that way and HR 1109 shouldn’t be an exception.

It is common knowledge that once Gloria steps down, plunder charges would be filed against her just like what happened to Estrada. And it is also common knowledge that Gloria was the prime mover in the prosecution and conviction of Estrada for plunder. And if the opposition wins in the presidential elections in 2010, Gloria could be brought to justice. As the saying goes, “What goes around comes around.”

The day after HR 1109 was passed by the House, the Senate reaffirmed its stand against the Senate and the House voting jointly in a Constituent Assembly. Many people believe that the ulterior motive behind HR 1109 was to create a constitutional issue; hence, the need for the Supreme Court to interpret the constitution vis-à-vis HR 1109. With 12 of the 15 Supreme Court justices appointed by Gloria, I would not be surprised if the High Court would overwhelmingly rule in favor HR 1109. But who knows? There are a few good men and women in the High Court who might be able to prevail upon their colleagues to look at the issue judiciously and conscientiously.

If the Supreme Court agrees with HR 1109, it will pave the way for Charter change. If the Supreme Court rejects HR 1109, Con-Ass will die and Gloria would have to step down from the presidency in June 2010, a prospect many people believe would horrify Gloria.

But there was one good thing that came out of the passage of HR 1109. It was another wake-up call for mass action. Indeed, protests and demonstrations in various cities in the country were held yesterday, June 10, and more would be coming. They were organized by the religious sector and civil society. The people are now beginning to see what those in power are trying to do, which is to perpetuate themselves in power. And when power comes into play, the only way to stop it is counter-power. Sir Isaac Newton’s third law — “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction” — has been proven time and time again without exception. This law applies to science as well as with people. History tells us that. And history always has a way of repeating itself. Recent developments seem to manifest that history might just be repeating itself as a result of the passage HR 1109.

In the end, the children of Edsa would come to her defense and avenge the humiliation she suffered from those who betrayed her. That would be poetic justice.

For several weeks now, e-mails are circulating that Ericsson is distributing free laptops. Their online flyer reads:

Ericsson is distributing free laptops for their brand promotion. They hope to increase their popularity and sale by this campaign. All you need to do is send an email about this promotion to 8 people and you will receive an Ericsson T18 Laptop.

HOwever, if you send an email to 20 or more people, you will receive an Ericsson R320 Laptop.

Make sure you send a copy to: anna.swelung@ericsson.com.”

Is there really an Ericsson Laptop line with the following specifications? Google search revealed that Ericsson T18 and Ericsson R320 are older model of mobile phones which were phased out years back.

Upon checking the Sony Ericsson website, they have released statement regarding this

Hoax Competition Email

12 May 2009

Sony Ericsson has been made aware of an online email campaign claiming that Ericsson will give away a free laptop computer to users who forward the promotional information. The same campaign includes a photograph of the Sony Ericsson logo and mentions an Ericsson contact name and email number.

Sony Ericsson confirms that this email campaign is a hoax. In addition, Sony Ericsson confirms that the Ericsson contact name does not exist.

All competitions and promotions involving Sony Ericsson are run through official channels such as Sony Ericsson’s website or Sony Ericsson’s partners’ websites. Please be wary of any competition or promotion that appears to come from outside of Sony Ericsson or Sony Ericsson’s partners official channels. Examples of these include via spam emails or SMS.

Please do not reply to or forward the email if you receive it.

For those who are still thinking of owning their own laptops through online campaigns, you better get your veins working and check and invest in internet marketing like attending Internet Marketing workshops in Manila and Cebu.
