Comics Scriptwriting Contest on Migration of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) now Accepts Entries


The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CF0), under its  Task Force Against Human Trafficking, is accepting entries to the Comics Scriptwriting Contest on Migration.

The Contest is open to all Filipinos residing in the country or abroad.

All Stories must be predominantly written in Filipino with selective use of English if necessary and should be on the topics, like trafficking, intermarriage, overseas Filipino Workers and irregular migrants and other issues relevant to Philippine migration.

Winners will receive Php 10,000 each.

All submissions must have a fully accomplished entry form which may be downloaded from www.cfo.gov.ph.

Deadline for the submission of Entries is on November 14, 2008.

Call for Participant: I-Witness Docu-Making Competition 2008

Participants must be:

  • College students (registered this semester in any undergraduate course in any school in the Philippines)
  • Individual entrants or a group with a maximum of four (4) members

Requirements:

  • Documentary must be of an INSPIRING THEME (an inspiring story on anyone or anything)
  • Documentary must be 10 to 15 minutes long
  • Entry must be submitted on DVD format along with the script
  • Participants must submit: 1) Resume and 2) Any proof of registration to a college or university for this semester
  • Participants must submit a signed Contest Participation Agreement (all members must sign if entering as a group).

China-ASEAN Art Tilt Now Accepts Entries


FILIPINO ARTISTS below 50 years old are invited to join the China-ASEAN Youth Artwork and Creativity Contest 2008 to be held in Nanning City, Guangxi City, China in October.

The competition is part of the activities of the annual China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning City.

Participants may submit not more than two entries in either oil painting or sculpture categories.

No size requirement is given to painting but sculptures should be within 120 cm X 120 cm.
