The scholarship is open to applicants who are or intend to: enrol full-time in the PhD program & conduct research into treatment-resistant depression.
The value of the scholarship is $25,000 per year indexed annually & a school support grant of up to $5,000 per year. Your application should consist of: 1. A detailed description of the proposed project, addressing specifically how you will meet the eligibility requirements; 2. Certified copies of academic transcripts for studies undertaken at universities other than UQ; 3. An academic CV, including publications; 4. Letters of recommendation from at least two academic referees. You may use the Research Higher Degrees Referee Report Form which can be accessed from website. Applications marked Sylvia Bligh Memorial PhD Scholarship must reach A/Prof Gerard Byrne by 5pm on Friday 19 September 2008.
