The Xperia™ arc S and Xperia™  neo V both offer the world’s first 3D Sweep Panorama functionality powered by Sony. By panning the phone across the subject matter, the camera will take many pictures and recomputed them into a 3D picture.

The 3D panoramic image can then be viewed by connecting the Xperia™ smartphone to a 3D TV through the HDMI connector.

The added 3D imaging functionality is available on all 2011 Xperia™ smartphones through a software upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.4 rolled out in August. These include the Playstation-certified Xperia™ PLAY, the elegant Xperia™ ray and the dust-proof, water-resistant Xperia™ active.
